Remedial Massage
From $73
Here at Bayside Therapy Group we specialise in using Remedial Massage to help alleviate the symptoms of muscular-skeletal disorders and other injuries. It is also essential in post operative rehabilitation. Through deep tissue massage we assist the body's return to normal health.
Escape Massage
From $94
To enable you to truly escape during your visit, we provide guided meditation or relaxing background music to further enable you to drift away. Our intention is to assist you in reaching the greatest state of relaxation possible during your 45 minute or 60 minute Escape massage.
We feel anyone suffering any form of stress or anxiety will benefit from Escape massage.
Sports Massage
From $73
Is the assessment, treatment and management of musculo-skeletal conditions - which primarily affect movement and mobility. Sports therapy utilises functional screening and assessment to guide the use of a range of modalities including hands on treatment and corrective exercises. Sports therapy is a happy medium between Remedial massage and Physiotherapy. They combine the best of both to provide optimal function and rehabilitation where necessary.
Dry Needling
$5 add on
Dry Needling involves a very thin needle being pushed through the skin in order to stimulate a trigger point in the muscle. It is used to release tight muscle bands that are associated with trigger points, or hard "knots" within a muscle that can cause a referral of pain over a larger area.
Generally, needle insertion isn't felt; the local twitch response or sudden slight contraction of the muscle may provoke a mild response. This is often described as an electric shock or a cramping sensation. A therapeutic response occurs which is a positive reaction.
Myotherapy
From $73
Myotherapy is a form of physical therapy used to treat or prevent soft tissue pain and restricted joint movement caused by muscle or myofascial dysfunction.
Myofascia are the thin, fibrous sheets of tissue that surround and separate muscles. Ligaments and tendons are comprised of bundled myofascia.
The philosophy of myotherapy is founded on Western medical principles including anatomy, physiology and biomechanics. You don’t need a referral from a doctor to make an appointment with a myotherapist.
Pregnancy Massage
From $94
Pregnancy massage helps to relax tense muscles, ease sore spots, improve circulation and mobility, just like an ordinary massage. But it is specially altered to meet the needs of pregnant women and their changing bodies.
Pregnancy places a lot of stress on your back, neck, abdominal muscles and shoulders, due to changes in your centre of gravity. Add to that the extra weight you're carrying and you may find you've got an aching lower back.
Lymphatic Draining
From $73
Lymphatic drainage massage relieves swelling that occurs when illness or medical treatment clogs your lymphatic system.
Lymphatic massage involves gently manipulating specific areas of your body to move excess fluid buildup away from your tissues and toward working lymph vessels and lymph nodes so they can get rid of toxins in your body.
MyoStretch
From $80
MyoStretch is our approach to increasing flexibility, range of movement and comfort to our customers. By combining elements of Deep Tissue Massage, joint mobilization and advanced stretching techniques, we can make great strides in unlocking your natural movement potential as well as decreasing your pain and discomfort.
MyoStretch is beneficial for anyone suffering from a range of conditions. This approach is in no way used as an alternative to yoga, pilates or other forms of prescribed exercise, rather it will help you gain greater benefits from them. If you find it difficult to complete certain exercises due to a lack of flexibility, we can help prepare your body to achieve more, in a shorter period of time.
